Hello. After a whirlwind weekend we are down to a low single digit number of Assault on Black Reach box sets. Right now, Games Workshop U.S. is sold out. We've been told more will be available FOR SURE by the 26th - hopefully earlier.

We've delayed opening one for building in-shop to have one more for sale. Get them while the getting's good before our re-stock is delayed!

Plastic Chaos Demon Prince + AOBR Specials This Weekend

Hello all! First up is a preview pic of the upcomong PLASTIC Demon Prince Model. This will be good across 40K and Fantasy lines, for CSM, CD 40K and CD Fantasy and Fantasy Chaos Warriors.

Fantasy Chaos Warriors will be getting released in the November time frame - with the Prince seeing release between then and Christmas. Here is the sneak peak:

Table Labor & Spead Sheets vs. Dice - FIGHT!!!

The Scene: Labor Day Weekend - West Point Hobby.

The Players: Accountants *VS* Gamers.

It was a dice vs spread sheets steel cage death match. In one corner - the gamers looking for a permanent playing area. In the other - accountants happy with the performance of the Discount Table.

The pencils were sharpened and the dice polished brightly. In the end - the gamers emerged victorious!! Our discount area has been moved to one of the rear shelves, in addition to our account on eBay.

In it's place has emerged a new and improved gaming table!!! Featuring a full 4x8 feet of playing space, side rails to prevent that piece you spent 2 weeks painting from smashing onto the floor and even more scenery to come! We're going to be adding some different table top options, an Imperial City, a crater torn alien landscape and perhaps more!

GW Price Increases

This has been all over the Web the last 24 hours:

PRICING UPDATE
As everyone knows costs are going up all over the world, and just like everyone else we are seeing increases in the price of oil, metal, printed materials and transport. Up until now we've absorbed these increases, but the recent and dramatic doubling in the price of tin is simply something we are unable to ignore and therefore some of our prices will be going up too.
As from 29th September 2008 we will therefore be increasing the price of all metal models as well as a selection of other items including most of our books and some accessories including paint.

The good news is that we do not intend to raise the price of our plastic kits at this time which means Games Workshop's plastic range remains excellent value for money for all hobbyists. This has also encouraged us to accelerate our plans for expanding our plastic kit range even more quickly so keep a look out for new projects in the future.

So - what does that mean for you? A few things to keep in mind:

First: West Point Hobby will continue our 20% off price policy on ALL Games Workshop products from Paint ~ Battleforces, this changes nothing for us.

Second: If there were those few items you had your eyes on and had not quite decided to get - now is the time before the September price hike. Stop in and place you order NOW so we can get them for you before the rise.

Third: West Point Hobby DOES NOT Shelf Scour our on-hand inventory and make adjustments when a vendor raises prices. What does that mean? Simply - just because the Blister Pack of Chaos Raptors rose in price does not mean we re-tag our on-hand inventory. It stays at that price until sold. ( We'll probably be forced to raise the paint price across the board if adjusted by GW - tracking which jars were older and which newer would be goofy - and we're already a little goofy. )

Forth: All plastic forces looking more interesting all of a sudden? In Fantasy - look at Ogres, Orcs & Goblins, Tomb Kings, and Empire. In 40K - Tau, Necrons, Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, and Orks. In LOTR - both Good AND Evil have a LOT of all plastic troop boxes to choose from. You can be sure we'll be well stocked on them all.
